Search of residence leaves 2 facing drug charges in Wisconsin

The average person might find the concept of responding to allegations of unlawful behavior to be a stressful and daunting process. Those facing the potential consequences of a conviction may also lack the necessary legal knowledge to know how best to approach the situation. Two individuals in Wisconsin may be in search of advice after a recent investigation that is said to have culminated in the search of a residence has left both facing numerous drug charges.

Allegations of drug activity

According to reports, the search took place on a recent Wednesday morning and led to the arrest of a 15-year-old boy. Reports indicate that the incident began after authorities claimed to have carried out an unspecified number of controlled drug purchases from the boy. During these alleged purchases, authorities say they were able to obtain substances including cocaine, ecstasy and oxycodone.

The investigation eventually culminated in the execution of a search warrant at the boy’s residence. Law enforcement agents claim this search unearthed the presence of various types and amounts of illegal substances, along with cash and drug paraphernalia. The boy has been taken into custody, and reports indicate that his mother was also arrested in connection with the investigation. Both individuals stand accused of various drug-related charges, including drug possession and maintaining a drug dwelling.

Legal guidance

Individuals who face drug charges and remain uncertain of how best to approach the situation could benefit from seeking guidance from an attorney prior to responding to allegations. An attorney can work toward answering any questions a client in Wisconsin might have and provide guidance on all his or her available options. Such advice could play an integral role in helping a person make informed choices while preparing to seek the best outcome achievable given the circumstances.
