Complaint prompts investigation that leaves 1 facing drug charges

When restaurant employees prepare an order for carryout or delivery, there may be several individuals who take part in the process. Should an individual seek to use similar methods to transfer possession of illegal substances, determining who is responsible could prove a complex process. A 35-year-old man is reportedly facing drug charges following a recent incident in which a restaurant owner in Wisconsin notified authorities of the possible presence of suspicious activity.

The investigation

An investigation into the possible presence of drug activity reportedly began after police say they received a call from a local restaurant owner. The owner claimed that a man who was working as a cook at the restaurant had placed a suspicious tinfoil object inside a to go order. The owner also asserted that the man reprimanded another employee who was attempting to place something within the box.

Upon arriving at the scene and searching through the carryout box, police say they unearthed the presence of both methamphetamine and cocaine inside the tinfoil object. The cook was placed under arrest soon thereafter and is facing multiple charges in relation to the incident. Reports also indicate that the cook is also facing separate drug charges stemming from a previous incident.
