1 facing violent crimes charges for alleged armed robbery

Upon being accused of a serious crime, many individuals may be unaware of the legal avenues available to them. Those who face violent crimes charges could benefit from consulting with an attorney for guidance in understanding the charges as well as advice on how best to proceed. A 54-year-old man could be considering his defense options after he was recently accused of armed robbery in Wisconsin.

According to reports, the incident occurred just before 9 p.m. on a recent Sunday when an employee at a sandwich shop claims that a man walked up to the register and pulled out a firearm. The employee told police the man threatened to shoot him if he didn't hand over all the money in the register. The worker states that the man fled the scene after obtaining the cash.

While investigating the alleged incident, police claim to have uncovered evidence via a security camera at the shop. After making the footage available to the public, they assert that they received information from two sources who claimed to have recognized the man. Upon arriving at his home, authorities claim they were able to locate the gun that was used in the robbery, and the suspect was taken into custody soon thereafter.

Violent crimes of this nature carry serious consequences, and if convicted, the man could reportedly be facing as many as 46 years behind bars. Those who face similar charges could choose to speak with an experienced attorney early on for guidance in making informed decisions. An attorney can evaluate the charges and evidence against a client in Wisconsin and work toward building a strong defense with the intent of pursuing the best outcome achievable during legal proceedings.
