Violent crimes: 1 accused of armed robbery and homicide

Facing criminal accusations can be a stressful and intimidating process. Those accused of violent crimes such as armed robbery may wish to protect themselves by challenging the charges, but they may be uncertain about their available legal options. A 37-year-old man is likely focused on his defense after he was recently arrested and accused of multiple violent crimes in Wisconsin.

Authorities believe the man was involved in multiple recent armed robberies at various locations. Upon arrival at one of the alleged incidents, they claim to have found two victims with gunshot wounds, one of whom was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities claim to have received a tip from an anonymous source, indicating the man’s involvement in these incidents. The man was located and arrested shortly thereafter.

The nature of the information that led to his arrest was not given, and it is unclear if the source claimed to have witnessed the incident in progress. Police assert that upon locating the man, they were able to identify him through a mark on his hand, and the alleged uncovering of items that indicate his involvement in two of the robberies. He is currently facing two armed robbery charges, and is suspected of robbery and homicide in connection with another incident.

The penalties for violent crimes of this nature are severe, and those accused of armed robbery and/or homicide may find it beneficial to seek guidance as soon as possible. By speaking with a defense attorney, a client in Wisconsin could obtain some much-needed advice on making informed decisions throughout the process. If a conviction cannot be avoided, an attorney can assist a client in pursuing the most favorable outcome possible given the circumstances.
