Drug charges filed after traffic stop leads to search at hotel

When authorities receive information about the possible presence of drug-related activity, the ensuing investigation into the matter could lead them down various paths. In some cases, individuals who had no involvement in the initial portion of the investigation could still come under suspicion of wrongdoing. Four individuals are reportedly facing numerous drug charges after a traffic stop led to the execution of a search warrant at a hotel in Wisconsin.

Reports of the investigation

Authorities assert that the incident began after officers witnessed a vehicle leaving a residence that they claim is a known spot for drug activity. A subsequent traffic violation allegedly prompted authorities to initiate a traffic stop. While it is unclear what led authorities to initiate a search of the vehicle, they claim to have discovered the presence of unspecified pills, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia during the process.

Law enforcement agents advised that this process prompted the execution of a search warrant at a local hotel room. This search allegedly led to the uncovering of just under half a pound of methamphetamine, along with heroin and marijuana. Up to four individuals were arrested in relation to the traffic stop and the incident at the hotel, each of whom is now facing numerous drug charges.
