Wisconsin man arrested and accused of drug crimes

A 39-year-old man has been arrested and accused of involvement in drug activity following a recent investigation in Wisconsin. Being the subject of an investigation into the possible presence of drug activity can be a daunting process, and without the necessary legal experience, a person may be uncertain how to respond to allegations. For those who stand accused of drug crimes, seeking guidance early in the process may be advisable.

Law enforcement agents assert the investigation began when an informant began purchasing illegal narcotics from the man. After allegedly making several controlled buys over several months, authorities obtained a warrant to search his home. During the search, police claim to have unearthed as much as 730 grams of cocaine, along with a substantial sum of cash and several firearms.

The man was arrested soon thereafter, and he is reportedly facing charges for possession and manufacturing of cocaine, as well as maintaining a drug dwelling. If convicted, he could be facing as many as 166 years in prison as well as a substantial sum in monetary fines. With the potential severity of the consequences for similar drug charges, one may find it advisable to seek assistance in forming a strong defense.

Individuals who stand accused of drug crimes may find it beneficial to prepare for what comes next by retaining the services of a defense attorney. An attorney can evaluate the circumstances a client is facing and provide guidance on the best course of action to take during legal proceedings. If a conviction is unavoidable, an attorney can assist a client in Wisconsin in pursuing the most favorable outcome achievable.
