Tip from customs leaves 2 accused of felony drug crimes

Two men have been arrested and are facing multiple felony charges in relation to a recent investigation into the possible presence of drug activity in Wisconsin. Those accused of felony drug crimes may find the subsequent process stressful and intimidating, and they might be uncertain how best to proceed. When facing a similar situation, one might find it beneficial to focus on forming a strong defense with guidance from an attorney.

According to reports, the incident began after authorities claimed to have received information about a package that had recently passed through customs in another state. They claim to have been informed that the package contained over 5,000 illegal pills. After following the package to a residence in the area, police proceeded to obtain a warrant and arrest two men, who were allegedly in possession of drugs and money upon being located.

Following the arrests, authorities proceeded to search the home of each individual, which allegedly unearthed the presence of additional narcotics and drug paraphernalia. During this process, a roommate of one of the men allegedly told police that he was paid a monthly fee to keep quiet. Both men are facing felony charges in relation to these events, and each could face a prolonged prison term should a conviction be obtained.

With the potential gravity of a conviction for drug crimes of this nature, an accused individual might find it advisable to seek guidance in the early stages of the process. By speaking with a defense attorney, a person could obtain assistance in forming a strong defense. An attorney in Wisconsin can thoroughly examine the charges and evidence against a client and assist in pursuing the most favorable outcome possible given the situation.
