1 accused of multiple drug crimes in relation to recent search

When authorities receive information indicating the potential presence of drug activity, an investigation will likely follow. If a warrant is obtained, the subsequent search of a residence could lead to criminal charges against individuals who reside within, the penalties of which may become more severe if children are involved. A 24-year-old man has recently been arrested and accused of drug crimes under similar circumstances following a search in Wisconsin.

According to a local drug unit, information was provided by an unspecified source in relation to the potential presence of drug activity at the residence in question. Using this information, authorities proceeded to initiate a search on a recent Thursday, which allegedly unearthed marijuana and methamphetamine paraphernalia. They found several individuals inside the residence, including children, and claim that it was subsequently deemed uninhabitable.

All other individuals were removed from the residence following an investigation, and the man was taken into custody. He is facing numerous charges in relation to the search, including possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and keeper of a drug dwelling. He has also been accused of child neglect, and would face severe penalties should a conviction be obtained.

Individuals who are accused of drug crimes may wish to protect against undesirable consequences, but the process can be challenging to navigate, especially alone. By speaking with an attorney, a client in Wisconsin could obtain some much-needed guidance on making informed decisions throughout legal proceedings. If a conviction cannot be avoided, an attorney can assist a client in pursuing the most favorable outcome possible given the situation.
