JON'S CELL: A 20-year-old Milwaukee man who allegedly exchanged sexually explicit text messages back in September with a 15-year-old Cedarburg runaway, is scheduled to be in court for sentencing on Feb. 19. The man faces multiple sex crime charges, including use of a computer to facilitate a child sex crime, child enticement, sexual exploitation of a child, and registered sex offender intentionally photograph a minor without consent. The alleged sexually explicit texts reportedly came to light on Sept. 27, after the mother of the girl reported to police that the girl was missing.
According to court records, a friend of the girl told investigators that the 15-year-old had gone to Milwaukee to meet a man who wanted the girl to take pornographic photos of herself and that he had told her he could make her a model and might “pimp her out.” Investigators were then able to use the GPS on the girl’s cell phone to locate her in Milwaukee and she was reunited with her mother on Sept. 29.
According to state records, the man was previously listed as a registered sex offender in the state of Wisconsin. If he is convicted of the charges he could face as much as 40 years in prison and $100,000 in fines.
