Two Wisconsin men arrested after police chase

Police arrested two young Wisconsin men on felony charges after a 100 mph car chase earlier this month that extended through several counties. The two arrestees, who are ages 18 and 20, were charged with felony offenses stemming from allegedly breaking and entering.

Officers were investigating the home invasion, during which a number of guns and an unspecified amount of money were allegedly taken. They identified two suspects believed to be involved in the crime who had connections in the Marquette area. They were led to the two men after cash stolen from the home invasion was used to purchase a car.

Police spotted the car and tried to get the driver to pull over. But the car continued on and a chase began. The chase went on for nearly 30 miles with speeds close to 100 mph. At some point, the engine in the suspects' vehicle had some difficulties and their car began to slow down eventually stopping. The two in the car continued on foot.

One of the men was quickly apprehended after an officer used a Taser to get him to stop. Officers continued searching for the other man, eventually finding him in south Marquette; he was hiding in an apartment with a minor. There police found several of the stolen guns.

Both men were taken into custody and are facing several charges; the minor is currently being held in a juvenile detention facility. All three are suspects in the breaking and entering.

The criminal charges that these individuals are facing could negatively impact their futures. Consequences can include a permanent criminal record, a prison sentence if convicted and even difficulty finding future employment once out of jail.
