Wisconsin man accused of sex crimes through an open window

One phone call is sometimes all it takes for a person to be facing criminal accusations. Perhaps a neighbor thinks he or she has witnessed a crime, and suddenly an individual is the subject of an arrest warrant. Criminal allegations alone can be stressful and intimidating, and a subsequent conviction can be catastrophic. A Wisconsin man has recently been accused of sex crimes for his alleged lewd behavior in view of a neighbor.

The neighbor claims to have witnessed the man performing sexual acts with himself in front of a window in his home. This person claims that after a short period, the man was in another window continuing this behavior while making eye contact with the neighbor. A call was reportedly placed to inform authorities of the incident in question.

Upon arrival, police claim to have witnessed this behavior through a bedroom window at the man’s home. They claim to have attempted to speak with someone within the residence, but reportedly failed to get anyone to answer the door. According to reports, the man is now the subject of an arrest warrant in relation to the event and is being accused of self-administering a sex act through an open window. Specifically, he’s been accused of the misdemeanor crime of lewd and lascivious behavior.

When accused of sex crimes of this nature, individuals often find the subsequent process challenging to navigate alone. With the severity of potential consequences for a similar crime, a person may find it advisable to seek advice from a defense attorney throughout this difficult period. An attorney in Wisconsin can evaluate the pending charges and advise a person on the best course of action to take during criminal proceedings.
