JON'S CELL: A Wisconsin man who allegedly fled to Montana to evade arrest on charges of possessing and distributing child pornography has been arrested. The 44-year-old Milwaukee fireman was taken into custody by a trooper with the Montana State Police and a deputy of the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Department. After the arrest, which took place without incident, the Milwaukee man was charged with sex crimes that are claimed to have been discovered in his workplace in Wisconsin.
The FBI executed a search warrant upon Engine House 29 in Milwaukee on Feb. 10. After a forensic examination of their findings, an arrest warrant was issued for the accused man. It was determined by the FBI that the man was in Montana. They then communicated this information to Montana officials, who were then able to make the arrest.
The man was arrested at a gas station along I-90 after being seen traveling north by the officers and exiting the highway. The man was taken into custody while exiting the gas station and returning to his pickup truck. The arresting officer claims that the man identified himself, confirmed the pickup truck was his and told the officer that there was a gun in the vehicle.
Possessing and distributing child pornography can result in a prolonged jail sentence if the allegations are found to be true. These accusations have to proved in court, and an attorney with detailed knowledge of the laws pertaining to these sex crimes can provide the needed counsel to defend against the accusations.
