Drug charges are very serious and can result in long lasting consequences for Milwaukee area residents. There are many potential consequences for a drug crime conviction such as large fines and jail time. Those convicted of drug crimes may also have a difficult time finding housing and employment because of their criminal record. An experienced Milwaukee criminal defense attorney can provide those facing drug charges with a competent, aggressive defense which is necessary to overcome potentially life changing drug charges.
One Milwaukee man faces a significant prison sentence if he is convicted of his drug charges. The 35-year-old man was arrested recently for allegedly selling drugs to an undercover cop in the cities of Waukesha and Brookfield. The man faces charges of drug trafficking and maintaining a drug trafficking place. He faces more than 70 years in prison if he is convicted.
Authorities say that the man sold cocaine to the undercover officer in the parking lot of the Brookfield Square Mall on Moorland Road. The undercover officer claims that he purchased an ounce of cocaine from the man for $1,250 then six ounces at a Target store parking lot for $1,300.
After the Target store drug deal authorities arrested the 35-year-old man and a 38-year-old Milwaukee man who accompanied him. The 38-year-old faces charges of conspiracy to deliver more than 40 grams of cocaine among other things. He faces up to 43 years in prison if he is convicted of all of his charges.
